Description
PreCoM is a 3-year project, funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme, which aims to deploy and test a predictive cognitive maintenance decision-support system to improve preventive maintenance and ultimately increase in-service efficiency of machines. It will be demonstrated in three different use cases with low volume, high volume and continuous manufacturing.

Description
The main objective of OTEAres experiment is to deploy a predictive tool which enables to detect maintenance incidents before they happen, based on historical real time data monitored by means of the platform of remote management of facilities OTEA. The implemented tool will apply mathematical and statistical algorithms in order to get a reliable predictive maintenance, improving the efficiency of the current system, extending the equipment life cycle and allowing a smarter management of resources. In addition, an increment of the OTEA platform value is expected given that it will be offered a more complete service to the clients whereas the maintenance cost will be reduced

Description
Statistical methods are crucial to understanding the reality. Their applications include since health, industrial engineering or the biology studies to the environmental and social sciences. In these and other fields, the increasing availability and complexity of the data, requires the development of suitable statistical methods and the study of their properties. Thus, mathematical statistician finds himself ahead of high variety challenges. First of all, to propose a model joined with a statistical method that may attack the problem. In second place, the theoretical properties of the method proposed should be studied to identify the situations in which it´ll provide suitable replies. In third place, to make simulation studies to research the functioning of the method in real cases. Finally, to prepare an easy – to – use computer code or software for help to the users concerned in the practical implementation of the method proposed. This project is trying to cover all these aspects in the Statistics research.
