The IX Galician Congress of Statistics and Operations Research is a three-days regional meeting devoted to Statistics and Operations Research in the society. It will be held in Ourense on November 12-14, 2009. Its aim is the promotion and dissemination of methods and applications of Statistics and Operations Research in Galicia. The meeting is promoted by the “Sociedade Galega para a Promoción da Estatística e da Investigación de Operacións” (SGAPEIO).
The congress is organized by the Department of Statistics and Operations Reserach and, mainly by SiDOR (Statistical Inference, Decision and Operations Research) group at the Faculty of Business and Tourism, University of Vigo.
